What’s allowed here

• Sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance. Accounts are removed and, where required, reported to the authorities.
• Threats and violence. Threatening or inciting harm against anyone.
• Harassment and bullying. Targeting someone with abuse, slurs, or repeated unwanted contact.
• Hate speech. Attacking people over race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
• Sexual or graphic content. Pornographic or gratuitously violent material. Discussing a film’s mature content is fine; posting the content itself is not.
• Encouraging self-harm. Including instructions or encouragement toward suicide, self-injury, or disordered eating.
• Impersonation, spam, and scams. Pretending to be someone else, or using groups to advertise or defraud.
• Piracy. Sharing links to illegal streams or downloads.

Watch groups often include children - sometimes without it being obvious from a username. Before you post, assume a kid in your family might read it. Talking about a film’s mature themes is part of deciding what to watch; describing them graphically in a group chat isn’t.

Spoilers aren’t a rules violation, but they’re a good way to get uninvited from movie night. Use your judgement.

Everything typed into Feature Night is screened automatically before it’s posted. Clear violations are refused outright and never appear. Borderline content is allowed through but flagged for a person to review, because an automated filter shouldn’t be the last word on a family argument about a horror film.

You can report anything you see using the flag control on a message, and you can block someone so their posts stop appearing for you. We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may remove the content, remove the person from a group, or suspend their account.

Group managers can also remove members and delete a group outright - for most problems inside a family, that’s faster than waiting on us.

Automated filtering makes mistakes, and so do we. If something you posted was blocked and shouldn’t have been, or you think an action against your account was unfair, email safety@featurenight.com and a person will look at it.

If you believe a child is in danger, contact your local authorities first - we can’t respond as quickly as they can. Then email safety@featurenight.com so we can remove the content and the account.
