Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated 17 August 2026. Plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

What Feature Night is

Feature Night is a service for keeping a personal watchlist and sharing what to watch with private groups of people you invite. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Community Guidelines.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to have your own account. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should set up and manage the account for you.

If you add a child to a watch group, you’re responsible for what they’re exposed to there. Read Family Safety before you do - it describes exactly what protections exist and which don’t.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Pick a username that isn’t impersonating someone else. Tell us at safety@featurenight.com if you think someone else has got into your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. That removes your profile, ratings, watchlist, memberships, and messages. Groups you created keep existing for the other people in them - deleting your account shouldn’t destroy something other families are still using.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store and display it to the people in the groups you post it to - which is all we do with it. We don’t sell it, and we don’t show it to anyone outside those groups.

Everything you post is screened automatically before it appears, and may be reviewed by a person if it’s reported or flagged. We may remove content, remove you from a group, or suspend your account if you break the Community Guidelines. For serious violations we’ll act without warning.

There is no tolerance here for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. That means anything that sexualises or endangers a child, harassment or threats aimed at another person, hate directed at who someone is, content encouraging self-harm, and content that exists to frighten or humiliate. Post it and your account goes, without warning and without appeal. Where the law requires it, or where someone appears to be in danger, we report it to the authorities.

You can report anything you see, from the ⚑ on any message or from safety@featurenight.com, and you can block anyone at any time from Settings. Reports go to a person, not a queue nobody reads.

Film and TV information

Titles, artwork, ratings, and streaming availability come from third parties, including TMDB, OMDb, and JustWatch. That data belongs to them, not to us, and we can’t guarantee it’s accurate or current - availability especially changes without notice. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Critics scores are retrieved via the OMDb API.

What we don't promise

Feature Night is provided as-is. We don’t promise it will always be available, bug-free, or that it won’t lose data. It’s a small service run by a small team; please don’t make it the only copy of anything you care about.

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from using the service.

Ending things

You can stop using Feature Night and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, or where we’re required to by law.

Changes

We’ll update these terms as the service changes. If a change is significant, we’ll say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page. Continuing to use Feature Night after a change means you accept it.
